士師記研究Ⅰ

關於士師記相關註釋，可能需要分幾次擺上來，這次先就一般概論式的註釋（General Commentary）做簡單介紹。

較為早期的資料，但仍具有參考價值：
George F. Moore, A Critical and Exegetical Commentary on Judges, ICC (New York: Charles Scribner’s Sons, 1895).
K. Budde, Das Buch der Richter, KHCAT (Freiburg, Ger.: Ragoczy, 1897).
G. A. Cooke, Judges, CB (Cambridge: The University , 1913).

1960到1980年代的作品，展現了更為豐富與可靠的研究，例如Boling的這本Judges: A New Translation with Introduction and Commentary。其實AB系列的書一直都相當有水準，也是學術寫作的重要參考書目，而Boling在這部經典作品中所展現對於語言學的洞見，至今仍頗受學者肯定。特別他對於申命記式歷史（Deuteronomistic）的編輯立場，目前還被相當多的學者所接受。此外，這本書所羅列關於歐陸學者的書目，對於讀者來說非常有幫助，特別是德國學術作品（German Academy）與早期近東文本（Near Eastern text）的蒐集。
Robert Boling, Judges: A New Translation with Introduction and Commentary, AB (Garden City, N.Y.: Doubleday, 1975).

現代的作品方面，主要是Schneider的這本Judges。她相當大的貢獻是在於提出「敗壞過程」（Degenerative Progression）這一個主題。Schneider從每一個故事所呈現社會的敗壞與約的違逆，建構出一種螺旋狀下降的發展趨勢（Downward Spiral）。她也相當有技巧地指出在許多故事中所使用的反諷（Irony），並且將故事中的事件連結於早期以色列的社會（social World of ancient Israel）。

另一個類似進路的研究是Interpretation系列的士師記註釋，眾所周知，這個系列的書籍淺顯易懂，對於講章預備非常有幫助，而McCann這本Judges則還兼顧了學術的洞見，非常難得。

而對於經文與讀者採取歷時性（Diachronic）與編輯性（Redactional）的探究角度則是Amit的作品，不是很厚，卻要價不斐：

以文學處理手法為進路，但只處理了上半部的是：
